THE SERVICE



In this road of service there is only one measure, and it is the gratitude and the service to the others. A decent person makes an example of his own life.

It is important that a person working in this direction knows that as we activate the Force of Love, the peace, the brotherhood, etc., we are going to have marvellous experiences, but we also have to realize that we shall deal with the ego of those around us, and it can affect us when we are not careful.
Because of this we must be alert and have a fair, open, cautious, tolerant attitude. We shall have to be flexible and try to put ourselves in the other’s place.

We, in fact, are working with the mind’s ego, sometimes going through shocking or conflict situations with the people around us.
Although these situations are unpleasant, in reality they are to learn from and to progress.

I would also like to mention that, as our lives serve as an example for the others, a person who works with this tool must be conscious and not to turn into a fanatic or to claim that this tool is better than the others. It makes no sense for a traveller who is walking on the way of Love.

We must respect any religion, be it Christianity or Buddhism, etc. and respect any other technique or belief that is not ours.
The most important for a traveller is to keep walking and activating him or herself in order to walk out of the ignorance as soon as possible.

Another important point on this road is not to be cruel neither vain. It is of utmost importance to be able to admit your mistakes and imperfections, and to be able to ask forgiveness..

The most important in walking on this road is to put to work all your values and all your qualities because they are the bridge that takes you to the other bank of this river.

When you start serving yourself you already are in process, and have some experience of how this remedy, or this art, works. From that point, start spreading it: first, with your friends, your surroundings, your family, and so on.

On the other hand, if you are a therapist or a physician, you can incorporate it in your practice. For example, reiki, cranio-sacral therapists, therapeutic massage specialists sometimes begin their session with a few minutes of foot massage thus unblocking and relaxing their patients, this followed by their usual therapy.

Other therapists prefer to end their session with a short foot massage for their patients using this tool in order for them to take awareness of the work done and the processes that are taking place.

It should be pointed out that a lot of people are not prepared for a fast and deep awakening, they would need a smoother, gradual process.

I would like to remind you that working with this tool you can sometimes move emotions or touch some very deep suffering, and it can unbalance an individual if he or she is not prepared or doesn’t understand.

I would finish this section saying that there are people of good will that believe and trust this technique but don’t practice it, neither experiencing its benefits themselves nor practicing it on the others, and nevertheless they try teach it to the others with good intentions.

You can describe this tool to the others, but don’t teach them to use it, because you can easily do more damage than good.

Instead, recommend the people who would like to work with the forgotten art of foot washing to attend a meeting with an experienced person, a traveller, who had received an adequate training, in order to learn correctly the purpose of this noble art!

It is advisable to attend to a complete workshop at least one a year. This will give you a dip in the energy of the group, of the brotherhood. It also does good to refresh the things and to take the new into awareness.

We should highlight that when you have done a course you can already start practicing with this tool, because here there are no different levels like in other schools or currents.

THE VALUE OF THE SERVICE

An important guideline on working with this tool to be kept in mind is that first, you use it for your own benefit, and then you make your experience to serve the others.

It is important for all the persons working with this art to do it with a pure heart. We all have ignorance and misfortune inside of us, and yet it is important to work whole-heartedly. The way asks us only this: do the best you can!

The self-respect is important, and most of all, to treat the others as you want to be treated, and do to them what you would like to be done to you. Put yourself in the other’s place.

In order for the Love Energy to flow one has to enter a state of self-understanding and also to understand the situation of the other so that you would be able to talk or to clarify things.

This is a universal art; that’s why it should be open to anybody that needs it, or that happens to be on the same road as us.
In terms of financial means, we have to give an opportunity to all the people.

So happens that there are a lot of people that decide to work for a year with their families, within their immediate surroundings, and they work free of charge, without putting a price on their work, but they accept donations i.e. payments made at will (as much as one wishes to give).

This way, they can learn and understand how the tool works through their own experience and to gain a certain experience in order to later decide to evaluate the tool, their time and to be able to put a reasonable price on it.

This is the reason why donations are important; they teach us and make us grow while walking on this way.

We would like to point it out to the therapists or healers working with this tool: they should value their time, their work and to charge what they deem fair.
When we are on this way, our conscience and our heart are the ones that should dictate us the exact price.

On the other hand, there are persons that are grateful to the benefits of this tool and decide not to charge in the beginning.

From my side, I would like to tell them that when they gain the experience they should know how to value what they have in their hands and to be able to ask for a fair price. Also, it might be an exchange, a sharing… The people should value and appreciate what they receive.

The art of foot washing is coming to the hands of many humble persons, persons that have made a serious commitment with this tool and with the service to the humanity.

These modest people live in poor financial state, and even so, they wish to keep this art pure; they only accept what the others are willing to give. And that, when there are no other resources... you can imagine what it means to them.

In these cases the people that work with a purity of consciousness should not be afraid to ask for a reasonable price in order to make extremes meet. If they don’t have financial means it is only logical if they ask for an exchange.

When the tool comes to the hands of the people that have none or very limited financial means it is only fair if they ask for a fair price, it goes without saying. This is the reason why Kiwani Association accepts donations: a part of them is destined to these very persons.

I believe that the travellers on the road of Love, be they rich or poor, black or white, have right for abundance. This way it is easier for them to share this tool of liberation with other people.

For these noble persons from such countries as Mexico, Peru or India, Kiwani Association asks for donations that go directly to their hands – to those that are carrying this tool to those corners of the planet.

Now I shall tell you about an experience of a friend practising this noble art which has to do with what we were talking about.

I would like to mention that the same has happened to other noble persons when they were sharing this healing art of liberation.

During fifteen years that this friend of mine offered his work altruistically, without putting a price on this wonderful jewel, he met great brothers and sisters and seekers.
However, he also encountered many people that would take advantage of his generosity, sometimes the pay he received was not enough even for his minimal expenses in this city, him having to pay from his pocket for the transport, necessities of life etc.

What is the purpose of the service?

We should also mention this to everybody who comes to The Kiwani House: we don’t come here to sleep, eat and have a good time in pleasant surroundings, or to escape from daily duties.
Here we develop the quality of gratitude and the wish to pay the debts for all that we have received.

One serves without expecting anything in return, and the only way to return the debt is to help the wheel of transformation and the awakening to turn: to offer the same disinterested service to the others.

One should serve with this kind of nobility. While you take care of the others the old egocentric habits are disappearing.

The vision of this way stimulates the feeling of shared joy and strengthens the desire to help other suffering people to find a way out of their misery through the activation of Love energy, the will to help the others to find a relief for their suffering.

Certainly, one needs time to mature and to receive the necessary preparation in order to carry on according to the law of life, but there are many ways to serve the others.

Those who practice life magic start living according to the law of nature. To serve the others is also to serve and help oneself, hence, one serves for one’s own good.

The service will not be beneficial if one is doing it in order to boost one’s ego or in order to gain something in return, even if this only means words of praise or admiration. This is a practical application of the law of life to everyday situations.

Here, on this way we are going to share the merits with all the mankind, the good that it offers and we are going to do it altruistically. This helps to get rid of the egocentrism.

From this point of view Kiwani Association asks for collaboration and help of everybody who would like to aid us with donations.

For example, we need volunteers for office work, like answering the phones, sending the e-mails, etc. We also shall be grateful for collaboration in IT tasks, CD and video recording, preparation of new essays, translation of existing materials into different languages etc.

We need collaboration of the people living in different cities that can take responsibility of organizing workshops, talk to the managerial stuff of the centres, schools, orphanages etc. This way it will be easier to do the work and divide it.

We also require collaboration of those that can open their houses for us to take people in and arrange our transportation in that particular city or place.

We need voluntary help for books transportation and samples distribution in shops and other places.
The distribution of the book is important for spreading of the tool.

It is also important to keep in mind the following. When one offers one’s time and effort and leaves one’s house in order to help a traveller to prepare courses, to carry the books, etc. it is important to do it with all heart, without an intention to receive something in return, with understanding that the first person to benefit is oneself. We are sowing good seeds and the Universe shall give us good fruit.

Right now there is a demand for this art of liberation and we have been invited to carry it to Latin American countries, like Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil. There is also interest in Italy and France. In the East, in India and Sri Lanka.

There are already persons that have committed to carry this tool to and to share it in such countries as Argentina and Chile by the end of 2007.

At present, this tool is taking roots in Spain, Germany and Mexico.

And right now it is time for Kiwani Association to establish itself firmly with the help of the residents in those countries.

For this reason it is important for the committed persons to meet in order to share their wisdom, their time, their ideas, and organize it thus making it easier for everybody, so that we all work together and in one and the same direction, that of the service and the compassion,knowing how to keep the purity of this tool and the essence of this association of friends which is freedom for our own good and that of the others.

This association of friends have decided that the prices of the workshops must be well-balanced in order to make them accessible for everybody.
Saying this, we mean that we are looking for the workspaces, schools or health centres etc. where the workshops’ prices won’t grow too much, and those of those schools or centres shall have their agreed percentage.

INSIGHT IN THE SERVICE

Now I would like to share with you some of our experiences of service with this tool:

In some towns, like Vigo, Orense, Valencia or Irún some people committed to this tool open their centres and spaces. They have an Open Doors Days for sharing and meeting with the others that would like to work themselves out with this noble art.

These cases are our opportunity offered by the very life for growing as a group and as a brotherhood, an opportunity to offer us to ourselves.

It happened quite a few times that these noble people that had opened their houses or spaces with all heart didn’t receive the same in return, and those who came to the meetings didn’t offer them a single penny, in terms of not offering help on the minimal expenses of the space, like water and electricity bills, soap or even toilet paper.

I think that this is unfair because if we walk on the way of Love we should try to develop our generosity and solidarity, instead of acting selfishly.

That’s why it is important to collaborate with those who let us their spaces and to be generous giving, for example, 3-5 Euros in order for them to be able to cover at least their minimal expenditures.
Of course if anybody wants to offer a bigger donation, what could be better.

All this will be for one’s own good and also for the development of one’s generosity, this way allowing to the keeper of the centre to maintain it and to carry on.

I would like to mention that the same thing happened in Mexico with some spaces offering Open Doors Days.

The other experience that we would like to point out is the one that happened to us – many people that help us with their private cars as transport means, or those that help us to carry books, or those that open their houses to us, etc.

So happened that some of these people believe that the fact of helping us this way means a free invitation to a workshop and start acting as if they were already invited. In consequence they are trying to make us feel obliged to invite them.

If some of these people are short of money they can tell us so sincerely and in this case we are ready to lower our prices. But it is important to keep in mind that this selfish attitude is a pressure upon us and it makes us feel uncomfortable.

We believe that this shouldn’t happen on the way of brotherhood. Sometimes this happens even between friends and if even coming from friends this makes our life difficult, what about when it comes from other people with energies, different from ours!

If a friend puts us through this kind of a test he is not helping. The result is a waste of energy and in this case, when we meet persons outside of this road, it is even more difficult for us to calm them down and to clarify the things for them.

We should try our best!

That’s why we invite the people who make it easier because walking on this road is at times very difficult.
Having said that, we thank you in advance.

If a person helps to a traveller it is important to do it whole-heartedly without measuring solidarity.

This is the reason behind our attempt to clarify these points, in order for the people to give more of themselves and to do things with a pure heart. This is what the way of Love, of wisdom, the way of brotherhood, the way of transformation, the way of self-healing and liberation requires from us.

And if, in the end, some persons don’t have money for a workshop, in this case they should offer something in exchange. For example, an artist can donate a painting. This way we’ll be able to collect money to make this noble project happen.

We are sharing all this with you not because first we say that we work for love, not for money, and next are asking for something in return. No!

It looks like we don’t understand it quite often. Although sometimes we read about it in the books of great sages, if it is not put into practice it stays mere theory.
If there is no balance of energy, if there is no giving and receiving, that means that we are on the wrong way, not on the way of Love.

Any person can open the heart, and sometimes it is not the quantity that matters, since an Euro donated with love values more than a thousand Euros given with ego or scheming.

Everything that is done with Love and care is going to help us, the travellers on the way of Love, to make a better, more constructive world. And I don’t only mean Kiwani Association but all the persons that are trying to make the road positive and benevolent for them and for the others.

We, a group of friends, wish to do something with justice and dignity for us and for the rest of the mankind.
